Privacy Policy

Overview

Ergo Sum ("we", "us", "our") builds apps designed to respect your privacy. This policy covers all apps published by Ergo Sum, including Midnight Society and Aerie.

Midnight Society

Data stored on your device: Midnight Society stores your profile name, avatar symbol, avatar color, optional profile photo, and game state locally on your device using UserDefaults. This data is not transmitted to our servers or any third party.

Local network communication: Midnight Society uses Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework to discover and connect nearby players over your local WiFi network (Bonjour/mDNS). This communication is peer-to-peer, stays entirely on your local network, and no data is sent to external servers.

In-app purchases: All purchase processing is handled natively through Apple's StoreKit 2 framework. No third-party payment or analytics SDKs are involved. Apple processes all transactions and handles payment data per their own privacy policy. Purchase history is cached locally on your device for convenience; the App Store is the source of truth.

Third parties: Midnight Society does not share data with any third-party services, analytics providers, or advertisers.

Aerie

Data stored on your device: All thoughts and notes are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.

Third parties: Aerie does not share data with any third-party services, analytics providers, or advertisers.

General Practices

• We do not currently collect personal information.
• We do not currently use analytics or tracking tools.
• We do not serve advertisements.
• We do not sell or share data with third parties.

Data Deletion

In Midnight Society, you can delete your profile from within the app. To remove all app data completely, delete and reinstall the app. Since all data is stored locally on your device, no server-side deletion is necessary.

In Aerie, deleting the app removes all stored data. No server-side deletion is necessary.

Children's Privacy

Our apps are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our apps after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
